Order of the Descendants of El Cid

On behalf of the members of the Order of the Descendants of El Cid, it is a pleasure to welcome you to our website.

Our organization was founded in 2018 in order to honor the service of Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar (El Cid), who led the campaign to free Spain from Moorish rule.

​

The Order hopes to perpetuate the memory of his service and sacrifice through his descendants and their charitable work in the areas of research, the support of the restoration of historical sites and landmarks, archaeological pursuits, and other activities that encourage the study of history.

Membership is open to eligible American citizens who support the US Constitution and agree to follow the Order's Constitution and Bylaws. Upon receipt of required fees and the verification of the application, full life membership shall be granted and the recipient granted full membership privileges.
